The Alexandria Kleztet -- Seth's award-winning "alternative" klezmer band. Since 1998, the band has performed in countless festivals, coffeeshops, and bookstores throughout the Mid-Atlantic, as well as its fair share of weddings and Bar/Bat Mitzvahs. With the band, Seth has produced three award-winning albums, Y2Klezmer, Delusions of Klezmer, and Close Enough for Klezmer, all of which are available directly from their Web site. The Alexandria Kleztet was named "Best World Music Duo or Group" by the Washington Area Music Association (WAMA) for both 2003 and 2004.
The Bay Jazz Project -- A four-piece, straight-ahead jazz combo featuring the talents of Seth, pianist Sean Lane, bassist Bob Abbott, and percussionist Mark Lucas.
Corner Pocket -- My new swing combo, a collaborative effort with guitarist Bruce Katsu, from The Rockin' Bones and pianist/vocalist Sandy Asirvatham. Look for us at swing dances and private affairs throughout the Baltimore and Washington area.
Seth Kibel's Dixieland All-Stars -- With as many as seven pieces, this group can create quite a racket with virtually no amplification! This group typically plays every few months or so down at the Bangkok Blues Thai Restaurant in Falls Church, VA
Seth also currently works frequently as a sideman with numerous groups, including The Daryl Davis Band, The Hot Kugel Klezmer Band, Machaya Klezmer Band, Michael and the Little Professors, The Alte Kameraden, Project Natale, Christian Josi, and others.
